Hempy bucket questions

Hey guys so I saw a couple hempy grows and it peaked my interest but I have some confusion

So the first question is the combos, straight pearlite, coco and pearlite and pearlite mixed with the one that starts with a V having a huge brain fart! Which one works better? I was looking into straight pearlite

The thread I saw was to drill a hole 2” from the bottom for drain while others stack two buckets together which is better?

Lastly the nutrients do you use a lot compared to coco?

I know I’m flip flopping on which medium to use for my next grow just curious thanks in advance!

Sup coffee. Hempy is a cheap and easy passive hydroponics.

Take your bucket and drill an hole 2" up like you said. Every other day in veg, and every day in flower you water to runoff (till the liquid is pissing out your hole at a good clip).

Start with straight perlite, doesn't really matter what size, just make sure to rinse it well before you add it to your bucket.

Any liquid nute (or dry nute like mc that you can dissolve into a liquid will work). You use a similar amount to coco if your feeding every day/every other day.

Check out hempy headquarters and bluters home for hilarious hempsters on here. I'm happy to help figure out your feed schedule if you need.

Give it a shot, it's a killer way to grow.

TC if i was in your shoes.
And i was once and i wasted a lot of money.
Switching up things. Only to find out i would of been
better of sticking to one method and getting good at that.
Also the time i spent would of been better invested.
And in the end learning how to grow well in soil
made it easier to move to coco. And the same would be
said of moving from coco to hydro.
Just would not want you wasting the money i did
And the poor havests i had back then.
Stick and stay as you say in the USA.
Hope i have not offended you was not meant to in any way.

;)

Hey no offence taken and I do understand your position on it as well. I can be very indecisive and the ADHD part of me sees ooooh new shiny I wanna try! Haha but ya what your saying makes sense thanks

Good points.

Fwiw, the only investment you need to make for hempy is some empty 2 liter bottles and a cheap bag of perlite.

Assuming you already have some food your feeding in soil. You can get started for less than $30.

Either way, have fun my dude. There's always lots of good folks here to help.
