Try to remember strains with smaller flowers tend to be better.

I really think a lot of it has to do with how the plant stretches after it starts flowering, and whether or not it can be controlled. i know that next time i flip to 12/12 i'll be making sure that lights off temps are a little bit higher than lights on. this is supposed to minimize the stretch, keeping your bud sites closer together.
