How does my plant look?

1st grow. 4-5 weeks from seed.
Details:
24/0 light from seed
Growing in Coco
300w LED grow light
Cal Mag & general hydroponics nutrients

I have already trimmed about 6 HUGE fan leaves that were blocking light.

Mistakes I made... didn’t plant seed deep enough in soil so there’s not much stem between soil & 1st set of leaves..

Questions I have:

When should I start defoliating leaving only bud sites?

How much longer should I veg this plant before switching to flower?

Looking pretty good. Once and busy, I already trimmed the bottom at week 4, fed it and gave it time to recover. What plant is that, looks similar to my GHS white widow

Probably not a mistake, more to do with genetics in my opinion.

3 days before flipping is when I defoliate to force prioritization of bud sites, you can also lollipop at this point as well but if you do expect taller plants.

In general 2-3 days for a healthy plant to recover.

What size pot is it in and is it plastic or fabric?
Blue Gelato #41 gets pretty big with giant buds if it's got the roots for it.
Personally I wouldn't defoliate more than just a few leaves, but that's just me, I see no point in it, it's just a possible stressor that could cause a plant to hermaphrodite.
I harvested a Blue Gelato #41 a few months ago, a few of the buds were over 24" long and I didn't trim a single leaf from it because this particular phenotype grew like a sativa with only a few leaves anyway. It was just all bud, but I am in 25 gallon pots.
