How much did you spend on lights?

I was looking around and a 250w t5 light costs $75. For 300w of light it costs $80 for CFLs and for all the sockets and extension chords its almost another $30, so its at least 110. I found a hid light with a MH and HPS light running 400 watts for $115. I was really expecting CFLs to only be around $50-70 for a decent set up to at least get a few ounces off each plant.

i paid £112 for 400w led , got another 600w ledt for £113, then ive just got another 900 w led for £132 , reason i bought more is there is no heat off them and very easy to run on the electric bill

About $5K US. Lights ranging from LED to DE hps to LEC315 and a few others.
I've got more lights than I have need for .

Whats the point of doing cfl then? It's 8 dollars for a 42w that means you need to get $80 worth af you still need stuff to plug them in and you have to replace them a lot. The only good deal I found was 75 dollars for a good t5 set
