how to stop my plant getting bushier

Growth slows after the first couple weeks of flowering, can you tie some back instead of cutting them?

MJ grown from seed will display growth charactistics as descibe on packet E.g small 3' to 4', medium 4' to 7' & large well ya get the picture & will stretch for a good few weeks once put into flowering.
Indicas dominate strains normally double in size.
Sativa dominate stains normally triple in size .
Not sure abvout hybrids depends on dominate strain tho...
Clones do not stretch a great deal tho from my own experience of cuttings/clones.
Topping the growing shoots may reduce total yield of plant if grown from seed ! & certianly not avisable for indica dominate strains !
You could try thinning the plant out by removing lower/smaller weaker branches aka selective prunning... or even some careful LST low stress training by bending branches into more select locations with string/pipe cleans etc to make best room of limited space.
