I need help for pre harvest tips

It's week 8 of flower and I need help or tips on what I should do for preharvest and harvest, I've only gave my plants ph water at 6.5 no nutes, or fertilzer. I see people talking about flushing and leaving in the dark for 24 hours but I'm not really too sure. Can anybody help me and let me know what I should do next

Well you should check the trichs. The plants may need more time to get there. Buy a Carson Microbrite off amazon for 12 bucks. If the trichs are still clear keep feedin and givin light. Puro indicas take 8-9 weeks to get there. Puro sativas take 12-14 weeks, hybrids fall in the middle of those two. When your trichs are 75% cloudy thru the scope that's when you start a 2 week flush, just use straight water. But whats best is h20, yucca extract & molasses. Yea leave em the last 2 days without light then chop em. Hang em upside down whole for 7 days then pull em and trim em. Get the buds in a big mason jar. Open it twice a day and roll the jar for 30 days. On day 31 add a 62% boveda humidity pack. Your smokin at that point. If your soil always shoot for yer runoff ph to be 6.5

Do you think I still have to flush even though I never feed them
No flush needed,

I also do the 2 day dark before harvest

But get a loup and check those trichs

And real nice job for 1st grow they look great

I agree, no flush, but you're a fair bit off harvest yet, possibly two or three weeks. Most of the yeild comes on in the final week. I always say if it looks done, give it another week - you'll be surprised how much your plant will swell in that time. It still amazes me every grow.

You do need to check for trichs but more than that, look at the calyxes, see how swollen they are, check the hairs are red and shrunk in. Once the majority of the plant is looking fat and ripe you're good to chop, otherwise you're sacrificing yeild for no reason.

Thank you man I appreciate the advice, this is actually the 8th week but I read somewhere that hybrids need about 10 weeks to finish up

I was gonna say same thing you still have to ripen up before chop

ignore whatever the breeder says, 8 weeks is reserved for certain strains and most hybrids are 10+ week growers. You have surprisingly green leaves and some burned tips which leads me to ask what kind of medium are they growing in? These are still 2+ weeks away and you'll be looking for amber trichomes to determine readiness.

Yea I was thinking flush because of those tips. He didnt say how he set up the soil. But it looks like plenty of guano to me. So I thought it might be a good idea to wash as much away from the tap root as possible

Burnt leaf tips don't always mean nutrient burn, especially if you're using all organics and haven't been feeding with the watering at all.

It can also be down to having the lights too close, using too much light (that happens more with LEDs though) or fungus gnats.
In fact they're the one to check for first - I've had them a lot (feckin soil) and the first time, having burnt leaf tips, I flushed. They got so, so much worse and then, about a week after there were clouds of the little bastards swarming about my tent.
What happens is their maggots eat the plant's roots and that causes leaves to die off. The only way to manage the problem is to water as little as possible as they can't live in dry soil. It's a balancing act but it's necessary.

Now obviously I'm not saying "dude, that's see deffo gnats" but, from my bad experiences, if you're in soil it's worth shaking your pots to see if anyone flies up. It's point one on the checklist, only because attempting to fix other issues can make this one so much worse.

No ur right im jus so used to not dealin with em becuz I always dress diatom earth and use bt. But for an easy check get sum yellow sticky cards in the garden center. Then use the above tx. If strapped 4 cash cut a potato in half and push it into the soil a day later check it out. If its infested you know. Cheap tx 3% hydro peroxide mixed 1:4 wont hurt the goods butll repel the gnats. Also I see see pythium then im onto em it comes from their feet
