Insect eggs, but what kind?

Hey all,
I have some insect eggs on one of my hot peppers and I'm wondering if they'll be a problem for my cannabis. They look similar to ladybug eggs, but are white instead of yellow.
Anybody have any ideas what they are? Any entomologists around?
Thanks

Hi Canadian Jim.

They look a bit like the stink bug eggs we get here. The ones I’m familiar with are green not white but they have that same almost smiley face pattern on them. That makes me think yours might be something similar.
I’ll look up what ‘stink bugs’ are actually called ;)

Stink bugs do seem like a possibility. There's even an invasive species of them around here, the brown marmorated stink bug that they're worried about.
Due to curiosity I have put the pepper in a sealed container and I'm going too see what hatches. I was hoping they'd be ladybug eggs, but they're the wrong shape and colour.
Thanks Amy!
