Is it true you dont have to water plants when they first sprout for up to 5 days?

The guy at my local gardening shop says you dont have to water plants when they first sprout for up to the first 5 days even if the soil is dry and that it will not have any bad effect on them and they will still grow . Is this true ?

I am not so sure I would go 5 days but it is true that you want your soil to become completely dry each cycle before you water again. The #1 cause of failure on a grow is over watering. We tend to love these girls to death.

It is true. Tested and tried. Mine are 5 days old and got their first drink of water. The soil was dry and pulling away from the sides of the solo cup. I actually was seeing for myself how many days they could go. I really didn't know. Until now.

Your guy is right. Once I had this mistake with over watering.
