Just starting to grow

i started a new grow about 3 weeks ago i had it under a 250w hps light but i thought it was to big for the tent i was in so i bought a 125w cfl.my plant dident seem to grow under the hps it looks ok and a good color and when i put it under the cfl it seemed to grow a lot faster in a week than it did in to under the hps..i was wondering can to much heat stunt the growth of my plant cause i cant think of any other reason why it would not grow...

if anyone can help me out thanx......


I also was wondering how many plants could i veg with my 125 watt cfl....thanx...

How big is your grow area, is there any way to vent?

Think it's more the color spectrum of the lights; the cfl blue bulb best for vegging growth.

i was meaning if there was a way to vent out the hot air off of the hps bulb, you would get the best results and highest yield using it.

Yes, too hot of a grow area will cause the plant to slow or even stop growing. For beter help read this thread.
