Leaf shape is changing

Can anyone help me on this situation? One of my plants has started to develop different shaped leaves. The new leaves have smooth rounded edges unlike the classic tooth shaped edges. Also several new branches that have developed have nothing but this new shaped leaves. See photos. Is this common?

The plant must be pruned back and put into a veg cycle. 18/6
Cut it back...I would try to make budder with it.
Let us know what happens.

So...I have a plant that I had been growing under insufficient lights but I didn't know better. I tried to flower it and got so small, loose buds. I harvested them and was disappointed, but I kept the plant and put it under 24/0 CFL 100/26 w daylights. Now, about 6 weeks later, it's growing those smooth-sided leaves, and I just noticed that they have trichromes all over the smooth leaves! No flowers, no trichs on the original leaves. Anyone out there have a similar experience?

I have this one also. Planted outside from in side 12 on 12 off LED... with buds.... now new growth from buds and strange 3 prong leafs has any one figured it out?

Yes. As said already, it’s a symptom of a plant revegging. They do that when they get confused about what season it is and revert from flowering back to veg. It takes them quite a while to get back on track and grow normal leaves again.

Hey KatieDukes,

welcome to 420! Sounds like you have a reveg but it would help to see how big the buds are and how far along in the reveg process you are.

Reveg is caused by putting them outdoors too early and they start to flower then later revert back to veg due to changes in hours of daylight however they will convert back to flower before long but the old buds do not resume growing. Now the plant will be considered monster cropped and turn into a bushy beast.

drop some images if you don’t mind and we can better advise

So I have 4 plants all outside in sun most of the day and watered once a day. How do I save these super important babies?! I was gifted them from someone dear to me and I can't let them fail please help

From what I can see think you are in great shape, its not like there were buds that would go to waste from reveg. In fact I think they are just now popping first pistils out. So in the weed world girls are what we seek, males spray pollen & the chicks get knocked up and buds turn seedy. Another possibility is hermies which is when chicks grow male parts and pollinate themselves resulting in seedy buds.

Encourage you to search here for hermie, study the pics, read the comments and learn to spot that occurrence. If you get any male plants spread a clean garbage over it’s head and cut its throat, seal the bag and discard. If you spot a hermie chick do the same, of course in both cases only after you drop more pics and someone here confirms it’s identity.

might need to get some nutes like the new Geoflora organic dry mix, it’s an all in one meaning you may not need a seperate cal-mag add on product. Spoon it on every 2 weeks as top dress and water it in. There are 2 bags one is for veg cycle the other is for flower cycle since the formulas are different.

Most off the shelf general purpose fertilizers & nutes don’t work well because of the changing nutrient demand of cannabis. Weed needs high N but lower PK in veg, but in flower it needs little to no N but higher PK, yet it needs calcium & magnesium all the way thru.

We have a great team of folks that watches the FAQ pages and responds to plant problems, more peeps will jump in later.

Wow so much good logic and things I didn't know! Thankyou! I will see what I can find out and do research on and more pictures if that's what would help! I just want to save these babies! :)
