I was thinking for my plant to use a 26 watt floru for the vegetative state.Then add another 26 watt floru(52 watts on my plant) for budding.

Is this a good idea?

I don't know if 52watts is enough, I don't know much about florescent lights. It might be enough for one plant though if your only doing one. Good luck!

it would be enough for a small plant. like a foot or 2 tall

I can always add another 2 26 watt florus so then I'd have 104 watts or is that too much?

You can never have enough light WeedOfWisdom ive seen all different grows from a 600w cfl to a 28,000w hps grow

I just got a bunch of lights.I got 6 26 watt fluorescent bulbs and 2 aluminum domes with a 45 watt fluorescent in each.

So is 246 watts(16000 lumens) ok/good/great/excellent for 2 plants?

Exactly how many lumens per plant? I always thought 4550 was enough.

it probably would have been best to buy a cheap hps light instead of all those flourescents. You'll produce a bigger plant quicker. It will take forever using flourescents.

Neither are better MH / HPS are called HID (high intensity discharge) The MH is used for vegetative growth and the HPS is used for budding. As which is better between Florescent and HID lights. HID is much better but cost more than the Florescent
