Looking to purchase LED light: Need feedback

Hi everybody!

I'm back and looking to start my 2nd grow. The light I used in my last grow I no longer have so I'm in the process of shopping around for a new one. I came across a light with these specs and just need some insight as to whether its a good deal or not. I was quoted $595 w/ free shipping.

Yeah it got deleted because I mentioned the brand name, the mods told me I could repost the question if I omitted the brand name. I appreciate the feedback you gave regarding the price, I just wanted to repost to give others an opportunity to give their input. Not the best way to spend $600 on lighting, at all.

Look for something with LM301b diodes

What makes you say it's not worth the $600? Cheap diodes? What's the deal with the LM301b diodes? Newer model type of thing?

That refers to the type of Samsung diode used on the Quantum board.
When Quantum boards first came out the used a LM561C Diode.
They have since upgraded the diode now known as LM301B
Also known as Ver 1 and 2
The new one is more efficient

that ppfd chart isnt even a 4x4 square. im not understanding the chart.

and 60 watts each definitely wont hit those numbers at 24 inches, thats for sure.

but really, you dont even need that much anyway. if your not running CO2, and VPD isnt correct, you would be riding the danger area at 700 PAR.

It's basically a scam...

LM301b is the most efficient diode on the market.

I ended up going with 4x 288.2 Quantum Boards. LM301b diode board. PurpleGunRack sold me on them and boy was he right! After getting all the wiring finished when I plugged in the light I legit went blind it was so bright. I had light spots in the shape of the grid on the light for a solid 5 minutes. Very low heat output and takes up no space at all. I could easily fit 8+ 288.2 in a 4x4 tent. It would prolly be overkill but that's how small they are. Highly recommend.

Currently only have one setup. Need to wire the rest of them still. I bought a bunch of seeds online and out of the 5-6 I've tried to germinate only 1 has sprouted so far. Feels bad. Will hook up additional lights if and when more seeds pop.

As of writing this it APPEARS like a 2nd seed has pushed through the soil!! Out of the 5 seeds planted currently only two have shown themselves, the most recent sprouting a whole WEEK after the first...so strange. Keeping my fingers crossed that the others aren't duds =D
