Lowryder new grow questions:

I plan to start a lowryder grow. Space isn't a problem but a budget is.

I have a few simple questions before I start assembling my room.

My current idea is this:
germ rooting - T5s
veg - 400w MH
flower - 400w HPS

I almost certain I'll be using a top feed method. May switch to flood and drain depending on what you guys say...

Questions:

1.) How many plants should I grow under the 400w? I was thinking 5 at a time?

2.) With the top feed system, should I have it on 100% of the time? Or just on 100% of the time while the lights are on then have it come on for like 10 minutes every hour while its off?

3.) What size nutrient reservoir should I get? More water = easier to control the water parameters correct?

You could fit more than 5, I had 8 no problem

i grew 5 in my cabinet under a 400w HPS and i think they were cramped. now i only grow two under the 400w. check out my grow journal.
