Male plant in June

Howdy all !

My brother has an outside grow and he just pulled a male plant Sunday, this was not presexing, the balls were well formed and would have burst in a couple days. To his knowledge there is no autoflowering in this weed, just regular bagseed he got from a friend of ours. The friend says it is of a Afgani background.
I'm just getting back into growing myself after a 25 year break to work in the real world, so I may have forgotten some knowledge.
Anyone with any thoughts of why male so early ?

not sure why it would do it, but I had the same thing indoors with a male plant a few months back, I had been in veg for about 6 weeks, but you could see the balls on it one day from across the room.

My brother just told me a second plant has turned male. Really odd as we normally see the change here in Virginia starting the end of the first week od August.
