GROW INDOORS/OUTDOORS: MALES AND FEMALES

Sinsemillia
If you start growing with SEEDS, 50% of the sprouted seed will be MALE. During flowering period (12 hours light per day) the males will pollinate the female plants. Then the female plants will produce seeds. But beside that, the females will produce less buds. You won't get SINSEMILLIA (= spanish for "without seeds) but buds with a lot of seeds in it. To produce seeds the female plant needs lots of nutrients and energy. That's why the buds stay small and won't get fat. I you don't let the males pollinate the females (by killing the males) the females get "stressed" and keep making bigger flowers (= buds) for about 6-10 weeks. Then the flowers get brown and it's time to harvest. the females plants.
CONCLUSION: REMOVE MALES TO PREVENT POLLINATION OF FEMALES AND TO OBTAIN SINSEMILLIA

Detecting female flowers
After 5-10 weeks growing, at the beginning of every new branch, will appear little flowers. If the plants grow very fast, you'll be able to detect them after a few weeks, if the plants grow in front of the window (so they grow slowly) it will take more time to detect the flowers.
The flowers with two little white hairs are the female flowers. The others (wait another week, untill the male flowers appear) are male plants.

Kill the males. You can grow them somewhere else, but why would you? Only if you want the females to produce new seeds, let the males flower.
Conclusion: it's hard to be a male. You get killed or if you stay alive you won't even get smoked!
