Mixing Nutrient Lines: General Hydroponics

General Hydroponics has a two part additive, Floraliscious Grow and Bloom, that has humic acids, 2 and 1 percent respectively.

Problem is... no general hydroponics seaweed extract (except Floraliscious Plus, 2% humic acids + seaweed).

But general organics does - BioWeed.

Since it's an additive, not a main supplement, do you think/know if it could be added into another lineup -
general hydroponics?

Will probably shoot them an email today.

From readings so far - one guy mixed the ca/mg from GO into GH. Said his local store didnt think it would be an issue.

Another guy said it's okay, does it all the time, but didnt say which ones... ha.

GO line looks crazy... almost every additive in the line has 2% humic acids. Then GO Diamond Black humic acids additive has straight 6%, and the 100% seaweed, BioWeed...

But yea, will ask and report back.

From maximumyields . com

Humic and fulvic acids work even better when combined with seaweed extracts. Seaweed extracts are loaded with natural plant-growth hormones such as auxins and cytokinins. Humic and fulvic acids hold onto the auxins in an exchangeable form to amplify their effects on plants.

In fact, Virginia Tech’s 10-year study on organic biostimulants found that five parts of humic acid combined with two parts of seaweed extracts worked 50% better than either product alone. If you want more lateral root growth and more root mass, you can easily make your own humic acid and kelp root stimulant.

Bigger roots, bigger plant, bigger yields, potentially. Worth a shot.

I use them both and it seems to be doing the trick

And second confirmation by GH as well. The two lines can be mixed, but not intended for use in recirculating DWC, and should be used within 4hrs. Cool cool!

Talked a bit more with rep -

As long as you are watering to waste- there is no issues with using either of those [BioWeed / Diamond Black]. FloraBlend is a compost tea, and any kelp in the product was a feed source for the tea itself. Some products may have the same inputs, but can behave very differently depending on what was done to them. This is a great segue into why Floralicious Plus is different.

Floralicious Plus is vastly different than any product we make as it is a fermentation of its constituent ingredients. This causes all waste materials like carbon to be used as fuel for this process, and all that is left are minerals, proteins and powerful plant extracts that are tremendously powerful. This is where it gets its Plus from- it is an enhanced version of our historically popular Floralicious line.

Any time a NPK value is given it is the percentage of that ingredient by weight per volume. Diamond Black may have more humic acid, but Floralicious Plus is more powerful in the end.

Thank you

Here I was expecting a generic answer - wow. :reading420magazine:
