New clone dying? Help!

Hey guys. First post here
Just picked up this blue dream clone.
Not sure how its doing. Switched it over to my new fluorescent veg closet.
New leaves look to be curling and brown/dying at the end.
Watering once every 2-3 days using the weight check and finger test. Straight 6.5 PH water no nutes.
Dont know wattage of the light if fluorescents even have a wattage. Just picked up the light yesterday.
Let me know what you guys think.

What kind of soil are you using?
How far is the light from plant?
It looks like light burning it.

Last night was its first in the veg room with a 20/4 cycle.
It was about a foot and a half to 2 feet from the light. There is no way its getting burnt from the light. I actually put it closer because I dont think it was getting enough ( The tips were burnt when I got them so maybe the first grower put em too close to the light.
I used the hand test and I let my hand sit there for a good minute under the light and felt hardly any heat and my hand was above where the plant was sitting so I dont think its that.
I got the clone in this pot with the soil but I believe they used the basic fox farm.
ANything else yo think it could be?
