New DIY Grow room idea........

I think its a new idea, if someone has claim to it, sorry. :peacetwo:

I thought i would go ahead and start a thread on my ideas for a SEALED
grow room. My background is in live coral propagation NOT growing. Im also a bit of a techno. head when is comes to equipment.

Here is my idea to a SEALED grow room.

I worked on a 70'open race sail boat. The boat was made 100% with PRE-PREG
carbon fiber. It was real high tech aerospace level technology.
One of the products we used in lamination was vacuum bags. The material
was laid over the hull, and air was drawn out to put pressure on the hull.
Female molds split.........

The hull was then put in a oven and heated to release the epoxy in the carbon........lamination.......

So the product has to hold a seal' Air tight, and has to withstand high temps. Hummmmmmmmm!

How would one seal a giant bag onto a carbon fiber sailboat 70' long?

Dumb Dumb! Google search dumb dumb vacuum bagging.

So how will i make my grow room?

I'll build a 2x4 frame with a ply wood floor and roof. (indoors)
I will paint the 2x4's with a good epoxy paint (white)
I will then buy the vacuum bag material and rolls of dumb dumb
i will then run the dumb dumb around the whole sha'bang and attach
the vacuum bag material to it. This will give a seal so tight, that i could inject
air into it and blow it up like a big az' balloon!
I will cut a slit for a door, using dumb dumb to seal it shut when i'm not inside the unit.
I will use vents and fans to remove air, and carbon to clean the exit air..
The interior will be lined 100% with Mylar....
Why do i want a sealed unit? I will be using Co2 gen........

SO there ya go, a complete sealed grow tent for around 200 or less. Big as you want, easy to build! Safe for heat......

Hope you like it.

PS: the vacuum bag material gets pressed down onto the dumb dumb making a air tight seal. The dumb dumb is like silly putty, the reason for the epoxy paint is to give a nice surface for the dumb dumb to seal to.......

Wow, I never would have thought of this. You may be one of the first to think it out this thoroughly, Willie. Creativity is a wonderful aspect of our lives.

Bliss and blessings,
