Well then, you should come check out #SIP Club. Proper watering is one of the biggest challenges for new growers to get right. Don't do it well and you stunt the plant and reduce your harvest, and that's especially true for autos.

So, you can either learn to water correctly with, say, the wet/dry cycle or skip the learning curve altogether and grow happier, healthier, and much larger plants with a SIP container even on your very first grow..

Lots to learn, and yes, watering is something to learn…definitely more then just throwing water in a cup
