OK to Start seeds off in straight organic potting soil OK?

I bought some good organic potting soil, wet it down good to make sure it drained well and to release the nutes...I'm germinating the seeds now. Is it ok to pop the germinated seed in this type of soil, then transplant from a small pot to a larger one later?

You can do that, what kind of soil is it exactly?

Some people will start them in cubes because then you can get a better idea how the roots are developing.
