Ontario Medical Grow renewal times?

I thought I read somewhere that if your script is for one year, they add one year to your expiry date. I can't verify that, because ours expired Mar 7, the day they received ours, and the wife's had an effective date of the 24th, as we were late sending them in and were already expired by the time they processed them.

Last year they went by the date of my prescription, and ended it a year later. They changed how they license us, and now it's from the date Health Canada approves your application, and is valid for a year.

By last year's rules, my prescription ran from 2 Jun 2018 until 1 Jun 2019, so my license had the same dates.

This year, if Health Canada approves my license on May 15, it will be valid from May15 2019 until May 14 2020, even though my prescription is dated Mar 28, 2019.

They only took 3 weeks to process and approve my application. And that wasn't even a renewal. I think they have caught up to the backlog and streamlined things for once.

Got it today, so 4 1/2 weeks for me for my renewal...

I'm legal again!
