PH in my water should I use?

So I am filtering my tap water with a Pur filter and just wondering the ph of the of the water is over 8. Will it be fine since I will be using ph down anyway? It tastes great and its not hard water. thank ya thank ya

The pur water filters still don't filter out all deposits. That's a pretty high ph for tap water. Are you growing soil or hydro? You can use the water, just make sure you adjust the ph of the water after you add nutes. ;-)

Thanks Ms. Fox, yes it will be for hydro use . I thought it was high ph but getting R/O water will be a pain and much more expensive. Just going to have a fun time adjusting. thanks

Ms. Fox is right. Adjust the ph of the water after you put in the nutes. Most nutrient solutions will lower the ph. Sometimes, with my 8.2 tapwater, I've noticed after adding nutes, my ph will come down to 7.2.
