Around 300 cannabis plants were found after a raid on a semi-detached house in Northamptonshire today.

The raid on the house in Barnwell Street, Kettering, found an organised cannabis production facility that is believed to be linked to the another one found in Montagu Street, Kettering.

Police found around 300 plants, which are currently being brought out of the property, as well as cultivation equipment. Nobody was in the house at the time and no arrests made.

Police are encouraging members of the public to pass on any information or suspicions they have about cannabis factories.

DC Kelvin Leaton of the Reducing Supply Team, said: "We have some great successes in closing down cannabis factories as a result of information from members of the public and I am asking people to be on the look-out and to make sure they pass on even the slightest suspicion to us.

"Cannabis production is an organised crime and if people are concerned that a property in their area is being used in this way, they should never rely on someone else to let the police know, but give us a call themselves."
