Pre Flowers?

After going through the comments regarding pre flowers in the 'predicting sex' thread, I was looking for a description, or mention of the tiny, brownish pistol looking growth seen in the highlighted circles of this plant. I was curious if some of the more experienced members could identify what I'm seeing. Worth mentioning is this plant, 4 1/2 wks into veg, has had a strong sweet, pungent odor that fills the room, unlike one other plant from the same unknown (bag) sativa strain seed group without similar growth. Thanks in advance.

Setting Sun would love this, I learned this from him. Those are called stipules. Male and female have these. They don't indicate sex. At least this is what I see looking at the pic. The ones above the brown ones (in the internode in the curved growth shoot) they are green and pointing up.

We all get excited upon seeing stipules for the first time... no shame there.
+reps for the LST coil action

The preflowers are located behind the stipule in front of the new growth, and I think I see a female preflower just above the black wrap in pic.
