Question about previous grow

so both of my plants went male and i cut them down.

anyway I was wondering if it was because my lights were off for more than 12 hours because of electrical problems. they were off for closer to 20 hours...

Wouldn't that hermie them more than male them?

Theres alot of equations. If your plant has gone through alot of stress it will usually turn out hermie or male.

this was my first time growing but the plants didn't appear to be under a whole lot of stress. next time I will make a grow journal

How many seeds did you drop? 2?

Increase the number you plant/germinate to increase your chances.
Oh and High N till they show sex.

yea 2 and I used fish emulation

I also only had 4 42w general pupose cfl's but I thought that would be good enough for a first time grow...

Usually all new growers start out with CFLs. You did nothing wrong, sounds like you just got unlucky results.
