What does "Legalizam.ro"
propose?
We want to bring to the public's attention, but especially to the attention of political decision-makers, our desire to legalize the recreational use and cultivation of marijuana
To do this, we will start with a civic legislative initiative calling for the legalization of marijuana
Any legislative initiative must be supported by 100,000 citizens who agree with the legalization of marijuana. This bill must be voted by the Parliament, little chance, but we are trying.
If the Parliament will not vote for our project, then we raise the bar and try to find 200,000 citizens to support a political project to send deputies and senators to the Parliament who will promote the legalization of soft drugs for recreational
purposes. The ideal number of supporters is the one that approaches the electoral threshold of 5%. Thus, if the community we want to create reaches 500,000 members, the parties at the bottom of the electoral list will fight for our vote, thus
avoiding the entry of a new party into the
market. Our goal not being the electoral race but supporting an initiative to legalize marijuana, we will be able to negotiate with them from a position of strength. We believe that a reasonable term for the
completion of the "Legalizam.ro" project would be somewhere around 6 years. This is estimated by referring to the interest and training of current politicians. This is our idea in a nutshell. Now let's expand a little on how we plan to start the civic initiative to legalize marijuana.
How do we start the
'Legalizam.ro" initiative?
By filling out the survey below we get an idea of your openness to the legalization of marijuana. At the same time, following the survey, we intend to find the first 1,000 people who will financially support the start of the initiative for the legalization of marijuana with the amount of 2€ per month.
How will the money raised
on "Legalizam.ro" be used?
If you have the impression that the expressions
'NGO", "civic" or "humanitarian" come together with "free", allow us to tell you that it is not so. Any serious project initiated by non-governmental organizations has almost the same fees, taxes, commissions and costs as an entrepreneurial project. And we pay an accountant, we pay
commissions when collecting donations with the card, or PayPal, even the volunteers who take care of certain tasks have to eat a sandwich, drink a coffee and water.
When we get close to the budget of 2000€ per month, we will start developing the website, so as to bring data and clarifying information to visitors who are not yet convinced of the need to promote an initiative to legalize marijuana. In
addition to this, the development of an
application will begin to create an informed
community that will receive information about the status of the initiative. The application will be the one that will collect and verify the personal data to be filled in on the signature lists that will be sent to the Parliament.
After the completion of the website and the
application, part of the budget will go towards their maintenance, and the rest will be invested only in promotion and advertising. We willinvest massively in online advertising projects (Google
ADS, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), offline
(Boards, Meshuri, Public Events, concerts, etc.), mainstream media (TV ads, shows, sponsored interviews, etc.). Keep in mind that we aim to build a database of 500,000 supporters, this will not be easy or cheap.
All expenses are to be ultra transparent, having real time counters on the site for all accounts to be opened, monthly we will publish account statements as well as invoices and contracts.
When do we write the draft
law "Legalizam.ro"?
We are all aware of the inability of the authoritiesto take clear and certain measures, giving us foolish measures so far. So the moment we are sure that we have enough supporters for the legislative initiative to legalize marijuana, we will start organizing debates and meetings with citizens and international specialists. Following these debates, the necessary conclusions will be drawn for the
drafting of a normative act that must satisfy all requests.
Why will "Legalizam.ro
succeed?
Such an initiative needs a massive support (civic and financial), that it will not be easy to take bread from the mouth of the politicians who hold the monopoly on the drug trafficking market. The strong point of this initiative is the level of citizens' involvement. With a community
that has a database behind it, that can mobilize at any time to submit an initiative to legalize marijuana, we assure you that our voice will be taken into account and very seriously.
