Seedling just cleared soil, and leaf is yellow

the seedling just cleared the soil and i've got the light about 10 inches away from the new plant, temp is around 70, one of the leaves is green and the other one is yellow it just cleared soil today, am i over watering ive been keeping the soil damp but not soaked.

Slow on watering and if you are only using a cfl bring it a little closer to the plant..

cool it on the watering and bring the light to within the a couple inches. BUT It is always a little yellow at first! It has to change from white to green! remeber it was in the soil and now it needs light to start photosynthesis! Don't over water. And water from the bottom. Stick the container in a dish or on something then water that and the water will be sucked up!

How many watts of what kind of light?

2 25watt clf bulbs

you are right, the plant will change color as the chloryphyl fills in, but never had a seed pop prematurely.
