Seedling transplant pot size.

This is my first grow and it will be soil indoors. I plan to start my seed sprouts in the red keg cups with drain holes. Once they are ready for transplant can I go directly to a 5-gal bucket or gradually increase the size over time? My thought is one transplant is better/safer than multiple transplants. Am I on the right track?

Now you said you were germing 15 total seeds I think in your other post right? Well IMO I would stick with the keg cup for 2-3 weeks than 2-3 gallon pots to veg to half the size you want to finish at. Than flower in the same 2-3 gallon pot, than transplant the ones that show FEMALE to the 5 gallon buckets you mentioned. And finish flowering

Only reason I say that because I would hate to fill 5 gallon buckets with soil and it turn to be a male. Save the 5 gallons for females...In less you have unlimited soil.
