Shake VS. Trim

Could someone please tell me the difference between shake and trim? Got a friend that just harvested and he has bags of the fan leaves that are cut with small clippings and then he has bags of chopped up bud/leaves, popcorn buds, and some small pieces of stem. My understanding is shake contains no stems or seeds. Am I wrong? Also wondering what the average price might be I should expect to pay per lb for the shake? The shake is outdoor mixed with indoor.
I have pics that I can email if needed. Haven't figured out the resizing deal for this forum yet. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks and make it a great day.

Trim is what you trim (well, generally the little bud leaves that have trichomes on them - the rest is often called "trash" lol) while manicuring the buds before you hang them up to dry. Shake is the loose stuff that you find in the bottom of a baggie after the buds are all gone. Well-trimmed bud will have little; "shaggy" bud will have a lot.
