Siamese twin stem or just normal plant behaviour?

Hi Guys,

Might be a silly question but I gotta ask, is it normal for a main stem to split in two and grow 2 new main stems without topping or fimming?
I've had this happen twice with this strain, once on a male that got chopped and now on this female. I've never seen it happen before. Curious to know if this is normal plant behaviour during veg or I have some freaky strain.

I look forward to hearing from anyone who has had this happen.

unfortunately an unknown strain again..however it is an indica dominate
