I'd prefer a DIY project, but am a bit hesitant due to ignorance of electrical builds. Have visited that threat, great info - I will continue to study it and step up my confidence for a DIY. Do you know of any reasonably priced pre-built Samsung perimeter/side strips?

Maybe you check out Mars SP series, our lights uses more cost efficient Epistar brand which will save you more money, but the light output is also great, around 2.42~2.5umol/J.
