Skywalker OG Mainline Scrog

I have a couple of grows going but will focus this journal on 2 skywalker og fem plants i got from 420.

Both seeds (bought 10, germd 2) sprouted in about 36-48 hours after soaking one night and paper towel next night. I believe that was xmas day that i began soak.

Once germinated they went into 24 hr low led lighting in small net pots w hydroton. Placed those two into a larger net pot and put anout 3-4 gallons h2o in 5 gallon bucket w airstone and nutes at 650ppm.

Once they started growing a bit they went into their own buckets and under slightly brighter led light.

Today is day 2 since topping both for mainlining. Keeping tds at about 650ppm for now and ph at 5.8. Plant “A” has a stronger root system showing and was more bushy/compact before topping than plant “B”.

Iim using general hydroponics 3 part flora plus calmag w RO water (hydrologic stealth 150).

Their veg light is a marshydro ts3000. 18/6 hours. The flower light will be spiderfarmer se5000.

The last two pics are obviously after topping which always makes me a lil sad. But, ultimately, when im posting pretty buds itll be happy time again. Now, we wait. 1 topping down 3or 4 to go.

Lately, plant A has been steady ph 5.8 but B is dropping. Added ph up. Also, A has better roots than B

Topped them a couple of days ago. Now im seeing something that needs addressing.. in the pics below you can see (i think) some deficiency…. Ive added calmag bc i was using it sparingly but in the meantime… any guesses or suggestions

Looks like a typical calmag def.
Why were you not putting in the proper amount?
Put it in your plain water first " if possible " .
According to the schedule.
Are you have issues with your ppm's?

Legit question…. Id been on tap for years. Just went to ro. Knew i needed to use calmag but went w about 1/2 dose.. essentially id mix for a gallon,, ppm too high. Id add water and not increase calmag. So, even though im cutting 3 part dosage, i probably need to keep at 1 ml per liter of water is my guess… especially if that is a calmag deficiency. Although its a running joke to add calmag, im guessing it could be the issue. Thank you @Bill284

I didnt see the lower oart of your post.. i use ro only. Add calmag first then micro gro bloom in that order. In the past, ive always gone with the GH bottle “3-2-1…1-2-3” dosages. So in veg 15 ml of gro, 10 of micro and 5 of bloom then 2-2-2 transition and flowering was 15 of bloom, 10 micro and 5ml of gro

Now, im follwing another of their online charts w aggressive/medium/light feed and am using the light which is essentially 1-1-1, ie 5ml of each plus calmag

As i mentioned, id mix in a gallon and pom was too high so id dilute w more ro water. But not add calmag…

Slow going after initial topping, but we r getting there. Calmag upped and seems to have helped. Disregard the red cups. Those are GDP clones headed for coco experiment

Ive added calmag at a rate of 1 ml per liter of ro water and if ppms are to high from other nutes i keep calmag at same feeding rate. The early deficiency seems to be solved for now. These two are likely to be topped again today.

Day 12 since topping both plants. These are the two tops cloned and rooting

Topped plant “a” yesterday for second time. Decided to leave plant “b” w only one topping.

Clones from the first topping were put in coco today. One or both will mother a while then go to flower eventually.

Plants a and b have been moved to an rdwc system in tent and will sit under spiderfarmer se5000 to veg a bit and remain there for flowering.

Ok. Im likely not going to wind up “mainlining” these plants. Ive topped one of them twice and the other just once. Ive been trimming. a lot below net and fan leaves. Taking too long to get going so just gonna let em go now while trimming more than i normally do. Will still try to shape and minimize larfy stuff but… im not very patient nor am i very comfy w my miagi bonsai skills. I expect to switch to 12/12 in 2-3 weeks.
