White tips showing… help please. Is this from me upping nutes? Ive turned light down from 80 to 60 and plant to flush and re-feed at the 800 ppm rate vs 1200.

Excess or deficiency or light or??

A little bit of tip burn isn't anything to worry about. If it progresses, then you have a nutrient issue.
Did you have pests? I don't see anything on the newest leaves, but this one looks like it could have mite damage.

I agree with @Melville Hobbes :ciao: Hey Buddy. :high-five:
Just minor tip burn.
It just means she is full.:thumb:
I'd up the light energy and keep feeding max nutes according to the schedule.
They need their nourishment right now.
Hope your having a nice weekend my friend.

Nice catch Melville. :thumb:
Could be 2 things going on there.
Those little spots he pointed out are concerning.
Wouldn't be a waste of time for a complete pest check..?

tipping looks more like slight underfeed. if it starts white you are under. if it tips brown you are good. if it progresses past the tip it is something else.

if it starts to edge you are underfeeding pk in flower.

the dots say you have mites.

Agreed @Bill284 Great catch! Ive noticed a few of these on okder leaves from time to time. Have assumed calmag issue. Ive looked for pests and see none but did treat plants w a foliar spray of water/alcohol.

Here is another large leaf w similar spotting but not visible pests ynder leaves or on that i can see

Thank you all for the input and help. keep it coming please!!!

Thoughts on this? Calmag? Pests? Help

Props to melville. I credited bluter earlier. My bad.

Dont know if lights being out in that pic melville spotted the spots makes a diff but im fairly optimistic its not mites after some researching pics etc. i am often wrong but think its a nutrient thing at this time. We shall see i suppose.

Just flushed and set nutes at what i believe will be about 1200 ppm. Letting it run a bit before i check.
Note: 1200 ppm has been treating 10 gallons of water with nutes for 6 gallons (as per bottle instructions 3/2/1).

I see nothing and that is super great. Check the underside. Critters can hide from the light on the underside and they sneak around in the dark. I think someone said that spraying/misting during lights on can sometimes cause the little droplets to magnify the light causing further issues. Not positive how that part works though. I don't think you have a bug problem. Looking good. Great thread.

In my experience, plants perspire through fan leaves when the temps are a bit warmer and the magnification of the light burns. Nothing to be concerned about. Your girls look great!

I'm running around 1350 ppm in veg still.
Every tip is slightly burnt.
But the girls eat like they are going to the chair.
By peak flower it will be a lot higher.
1200 ppm is a snack.;)
I don't get concerned until it gets over 1700 ppm.
I still feed but I get concerned.
With decent lights they will chew through 1200 no problem.
The girls I had under my 1000w all summer were insatiable, literally ate me out of house and home.
Here I'll see if I can find the burnt tips.
I'm back, hehe.
Found a pic, it's hard to tell but every tip on every plant is burnt yellow. 1310 ppm right now in veg.

Sorry I missed this post somehow.
Water and alcohol as a foliar spray.
I'm assuming isopropyl.
You can clearly see it in the pics. The damage.
Calmag in your water first according to the schedule for it ml/l.
Mix really well then add micro, grow, bloom then boosters if you use them then any microbial stuff last.
Before use set ph to 5.6 temp 18 c.
That's all I can think of.:Namaste:

If you have a loupe you may want to check those white spots on the leaves and especially check the underside of your leaves.
This was me several years back.

If I’m remembering right Thrips will also leave white spots. Fingers crossed 🤞 that it’s not either of them. CL🍀

Sigh…. Found my first spider mite today. Awesome catch! I chose violence to end his life then chose neem oil to spray all over. Suppose i will spray again in 7 days and keep fingers crossed because thatll help im sure.

Ugh… please tell me this is controllable and not a big deal as long as treated.

@Melville Hobbes @Bill284 @bluter

leave it in veg and attack them. once in flower you have to live with it. 90% of things aren't flower safe, and the plant will have to recover. it's gonna be a min of 3wks to clear, probably more.

look at SNS products. they are one of the sponsors, and think @Emilya Green claims they are flower safe.

Bonide neem oil is what i used. My understanding it is effective vs mites and safe up to harvest.

Thanks for the info. I will look into it now
