What's a Swempy?

I'm glad you (didn't) ask!
I'm trying out a bit of an unholy cross of a swick and a hempy!
I had some trouble getting a couple of strains started over the last year or so. I've deciced to retry two of them, and a new strain I've been looking forward to trying, started in perlite, which has been working surprisingly well so far.
I'm intending to clone them into soil for the upcoming outdoor season.
They're my last two seeds of those strains, but I'm getting this going now to give me enough time to get started on a plan B if it doesn't work.
After cutting the clones I'll be flowering out the bottoms.

Hi Bill!
O man I think I may make it in the front row on this one

:ciao:
There should be cookies somewhere...
Hi Mel,
I'm curious, why the swick?
Umm...
Because?
I am in Mel. 🍋
Welcome Keith!

Mind If I pull up a chair in the back? I just chopped a Northern Lights, came out real sticky, can hardly wait to try it!

Welp, it's not looking good for Northern Lights or Lemon Kush.
Northern Lights popped its seed casing right off, and is now a tiny naked thing, with no real taproot.
I'm not sure if it can make it to the surface.
Lemon Kush, as far as I can tell, withdrew back into the seed. I'm guessing the taproot withered up.

On the bright side Mimosa looks fine, and should be breaking the surface soon.
I'll be contacting the seedbank about the other two, and I'll let you guys know what happens.
In the meantime, I'll be implementing plan B for the summer grow. As soon as I figure out what it is.

Anytime now and they will break the surface. :thumb: 🍋
Thanks Keith, I am hoping they'll all make it.

Welcome! Come right on in!
I've been looking forward to growing it for a while, but it looks like this batch is 0 for 3.
I just checked my seed stock though, and a friend gave me 2 reg seeds for it from a different breeder, so I'll try again.
Hopefully it was just weak genetics.

Day 3
I have partially given up on the Lemon Kush. She pushed her taproot out again, but it's discoloured, and hasn't shown any sign of growth since. I have moved her to a wet paper towel in a Ziploc baggy, and I have placed it on the edge of the heat mat where it'll be warm, but not hot.

Northern Lights
I am amazed she's doing so well!

Mimosa
She's a little lopsided, but maybe she'll grow out of it.

Having pretty much abandoned the idea of growing Lemon Kush, I have now (like 5 minutes ago) put a new seed in the perlite. I got this recently from @Herbies Seeds for GJotM. I've never grown GG #4, but this version looks really good. They say it should finish flowering outdoors at the end of September, so I'm hoping it's suitable.

Godzilla Glue #4

Chem Sis x Sour Diesel x Chocolate Thai
THC: 29%
CBD: 0%
Flowering: 55-65 days
