Perpetual Mini Mother House

My current grow journal has been documenting the start of the Mini Mother House but as that grow is about half way done, I've decided to create a grow journal for my Mother House. The idea is to find a couple of strains that work well in my main tent environment and meet my "wants" out of a strain. It will also allow me to start seedlings if need be. This tent has been up and running for a little bit now but it hasn't been without it's issues. Thanks for stopping in and check out my Current Grow- Starting from Zero for the the first months of the mother tent.

Tent Size: @VIVOSUN 21" x 14" x 20"
Pot Size: 9" x 6.5" x 3"
Medium: Mother Earth Groundswell soil
Lights: @VIVOSUN 100w Aerolight SE
Circulation: Using the built in fan on the Aerolight, also have an exhaust line hooked into the main tent
Nutrients: Gaia Green All Purpose 4-4-4, Gaia Green Glacial rock dust, Worm castings
Current strains: 420FastBuds Tangerine Cookies and Purple Lemonade, also a mystery seed mix up which I thought was Triangle Kush but appears to be a Jack47 Auto.

First light set up, no name 45w grow light

So just a little update on these girls. I'm preparing for my busy season of work which means out of town trips and that means trying to come up with an idea for keeping these girls alive and watered while not around. So I'm trying out a swick style base, granted not ideal for the height restrictions but if it keeps them alive I'm game.

A couple packets of seeds got mixed up, my fault and I was hoping it was a triangle kush. It got repotted and immediately started flowering. I overwatered it in the pot and it also didn't like the transplant but I'll pull off the dead leaves and we will just see how it goes.

An upside down bottle of water will gradually drain into the soil.
Fill it and stick it in.
If your other method doesn't work.
Are you trying it while your home to see if it works?
Don't fret about the dieing leaves, I let them stay till they fall off themselves.

You should swing by my other journal too if you ever have a spare minute. It's not a coco grow but it's mid flower now and a lot prettier than these lol. Current Grow- Starting from Zero

I love a bonsai mother collection. I ran one for over a couple years. Mulching the top would keep the soil more moist. I think I had mine down to watering about once a week. I had weak PLL lights and just an open curtain and not so much a fan rolling. Good luck and can't wait to see how it goes for ya.

So the two mothers got some heavy LST to the under growth go vertical. I used bonsai wire to get a really nice curve in the main stem, its easy to create a permanent horseshoe bend with it.

Biggest issue I ran in to was Magnesium deficiency. I alternated week one water with Epsom salt. Week two all purpose fert 2-2-2 (fish emulsion, kelp, molasses). Then repeat. Sprayed weekly for pests. I never really got rid of my mites I just kept them at bay.

Ya that's my worst fear as spring approaches, I'll probably start using SNS as preventative sprays.

The Tangerine Cookies is recovering nicely from the bending. Really happy on how its responding, and all that under growth stretching up to make nice straight clones.

Just a quick update on the future mothers. I added 2 more to the mix Pineapple kush and OG Kush both from Royal Queen Seeds.

Roots don't like light, I'd slide a solo over the clear cups wit the babies in them.
You have holes in the bottom?

Hey sorry I didn't see there was a response on this thread, idk how you guys do it with all your journals you follow lol. Ya I gotta say I was lazy and those clear guys were on hand and clean lol they are now in slightly bigger opaque pots. I'll post a thorough update on the mother house in the next couple of days.

So things are well taking off in the Mini Mother House. The Tropicana Cookie is just going wild and the Purple Lemonade is just behind. The Jack47 is flowering away and isn't growing any taller, I haven't fed it anything yet but could possibly lightly add CalMag to its water over the next couple weeks. Once my harvest is dry I will be taking clones and moving them to the veg tent for a bit. It's going to be time for a feeding of the 2 mothers but I have been delaying it because they are growing so fast now and you can see a couple deficiencies showing up.

The main tent is cleaned out and I moved the Jack 47 auto down there under the 200w to finish. I also took six clones off of the Purple Lemonade using the perlite cloning method @Azimuth has in his signature. The Tropicana Cookie will get cloned tomorrow possibly because it is beyond overgrown. The @Royal Queen Seeds Pineapple Kush and OG Kush both were topped and are putzing along just fine.

Keep us posted. I just took another round of cuttings, the best one will replace an aging mother and the rest are for practice (no points for second place ).

All the veg plants got moved to the main tent while I'm out of town the are in a bigger swick base that holds approximately 1G of water. Fingers crossed the job goes quick and I can make it back before the girls get mad.
