Harvest day in the tent

56oz of wet buds drying some beautiful buds.

Few lower buds left to ripen Im going to give them a week to see how they do.

Made some bubble hash then pressed it in 25U bag inside of 160U bag with dab press 2 min warm up 6mins pressing 160F varied pressure up in 2min intervals to 10ton got about 10g from 14g of bubble. Very dark wash the cannabis is almost 2yrs old and not the greatest stuff if the hash is any good at all its better than tossing out the bud.

Im going to wash the trim from yesterday its been in the freezer since I cut it. I want to see if I can wash any trichomes off the trim is it worth it or a waste of time. To be determined

Frozen trim didn’t weigh it so no idea what yield is in relation to starting weight lots of leaves with no trichomes at all and lots of little leaves and clipping with trichomes. In deep freeze 24hrs added couple gallons of ice and cover with cold water did a 10 min agitate and drain screens. Second wash 5mins was worth it but hugely reduced amount no 3rd wash.
Its drying now expect to press it tomorrow and see what I get.

Pressed the bubble hash from the fresh frozen trimmings. There was absolutely no residue to speak of in the press bag I am impressed by how pure the hash seems to be completely void of plant material simply trichomes

Turned out fairly light coloured ive let it air out a few days. Going to seal it up now. Smoke report very clean Im not a frequent dabber it was surprisingly smooth. After a brief coughing fit the taste is amazing. High starts out with lots of head high that settles into an overall happy calm. I look fwd to some cured bud.
End result this method is well worth the effort.

The oxycloner is bubbling away I did a water change after a week Im about 10 days in and getting anxious to see some roots and finally some have shown up!
Fresh water Monday res change Not sure that was right thing to do or not.

None of them look bad the leaves are starting to turn a bit like I need to feed them lightly or something.

I think I know where I went wrong. I had not ph’d the water and so I added a bit of ph down to get just below 6.0 and added about 3-5ml of terra vega 12hours later things looking better again and roots showing on another clone I think my temps might be a tad on the cool side but im gonna keep going as is.

This batch Im afraid is just not coming around. They have all started to root but they are so slow Im afraid my temps are just way to low. Avg air temp 68F water is about 72F i think i am going to revamp my setup with light and get some place I can raise avg temp up over 76-78F I added the done to get heat up to 73F humidity still only 42% my environment is not ideal.

Ok Ive been struggling with the cloner and Im learning as I go here what I should already know but haven’t fully applied yet.

Placed the unit in a close with heater below for thermal efficiency hooked to a thermostat to maintain 25C I have not completely decided thats the right temp but its where I'm starting. Light is on a 18-6 schedule to give them a bit of rest and normal life instead of 24hr light.
Also yesterday I added some nutes to get up to 500ppm from the 200 they were at they must have used some because they were at 400 when i mixed the reservoir initially. I purchased a new ph pen because I felt like the 2 I bought a year ago and barely used were lying to me and for the most part they were fine. I also upgraded my light simply because the other one had a rattle and I feared it may fail its backup now. Typically hobby money is no object as long as she doesn’t know about it.

Cut 4 more clones tonight now that I have a better handle on temps and ph Im hoping that the new 4 take off with vigour and i will donate the poor test subjects to an honourable compost in the back yard. I honestly can’t believe theyre still remotely alive after what Ive put them through in the last 3 weeks.

1 has rooted nicely they all show the beginnings of roots but they are just stunted. I also added 2 more air stones to the cloner I have yet but I think Im going to eliminate the circulation pump next water change the extra air stones make all the difference.

Clones that were cut feb14th are just now rooting but they are actually still capable of rooting which amazes me. Ive been hard on them with ph issues and temp issues and pm issues.

The Earliest rooting plant pink kush that actually has roots and has had them for a bit has started growing up top.

So Im looking fwd to how these latest cuttings take and perhaps I will cut some more next week incase this whole process is just ridiculously long. Im quite sure Ive got a much better handle on it.

Bumped closet temp up to 76F on Friday evening the difference has been impressive.

Sunday 1pm

Humidity is low so Im not going to push temp up any farther till I see how things stabilize over the next week.

Finally have a couple plants in DWC net pots.

I used some ph’d water to wash the roots down through the net pot so they will hang in the water I see no sense in starving the plants roots by keeping the roots in the net pot and letting them grow out.

I thought the same when I put my clones in net pots. But the one I did not drape the root through the netpot grew more lateral roots. There may be a plus to making the roots search for water.

Interestingly similar thoughts went through my head I will see how they do moving fwd unfortunately the one was ahead of the other right away so it will be difficult to determine this time. My conclusion was that hopefully there are many more roots from the main stalk to branch out I question ppm at this stage will less nute encourage more roots? I also had to order another pump the one I purchased is not adequate for 4 buckets.

I enjoyed the Papaya it was a plant I grew from seed. The reasons it has been culled from the roster is simply a numbers game. I can only keep so many strains and I didn’t feel it was the best phenotype the strain as a whole had to offer. I replaced it with a variety I enjoyed more. I still have a very large bag of Papaya I intend to use for bubble hash. How it held up was ok It did finish before anything else but PM is a real problem for me and it was covered in PM just like the rest so not exceptionally resistant but it grew a solid 1lb plant. Shy of doing mass grows and selecting the cream of the crop seeds are a crap shoot I have been leaning more towards using clones I still keep the mums I want to grow again just more consistent quality and less trials. I have a TangieCookies phenotype that did show PM resistance and I enjoy the end product more therefore it is still in my mum tent.

1lb is a lot for one plant, I didn't think the strain was capable of large yields because I was reading it stays short. How tall did she grow?, and how long did she take to finish?

Sure I screen shot a series of photos.
Basic time line. 45gal pot fed Mega Crop every other watering harvest Sept 31st.
