Well I think everyone has there own defoliateing methods. For me I veg for 2 months and I dont take to much off and when I do it's just the bottom. Before I put the girls under the 1st scrog I lollipop everything below where I think my canopy will be. Even some of the tops that I think might not make it I leave. Just because when you flip into flower you'll get the stretch and alot of tops that you might think not going make it. All of a sudden shoots up pass the scrog. Then I supercrop the tall 1s lay them out under the scrog and wait till they grow up and fill in the gaps. 1s that's done I flip it to flower and wait till the stretch is done. By that time maybe around day 20 your space should be full and over crowded. At that time I defoliant some of the fans that are blocking the light from getting to the lowers and clean up under the canopy for good circulation. From that point I only tuck and pick off fans that have to come off or dieing. Maybe the last week or week and a half I pull most of the fans right be4 harvest.
Forgot to add I top at about 4th node then here and there through out veg

All chopped.. now the waiting game. It's around 73deg and 50% humidity
