I have been reading different things about how close to have the light to the seedlings. Some places i read say like 2 inches and others say 12 inches away. I have mine around 4 inches above the plants. Would one or the other be better? They seem lanky to me, but i am new to all this. Thank you in advance!

If they seem really lanky drop the light closer. Ive had mt t5s within 2in with no ill effect.

With my t5 only being 24 watts, do you think it would last long? As in should i goto the big light soon. I heard to wait for first 5 leafs. Its also really hard to tell if i need to move it up with it so close. It seems they grow within an inch of it and like to sit there while broadening leaves happen. Any futher away and they stretch a lot. Is there a point when they nees to be stretched for that next set of leaves?
