A Wesley Chapel man traveling west on Interstate 75 was arrested on Friday with possession of $88,000 worth of marijuana.

A FHP trooper pulled over Jerry Sylon Jackson at approximately 1 p.m. for speeding around mile marker 78 on the Alligator Alley portion of I-75.

The FHP trooper noticed that Jackson became nervous at the stop and requested to search the 2007 Dodge Charger, which was a rental.

A canine drug detector was called to the scene and found 27 pounds of hydroponic cannabis in a plastic storage container concealed in the trunk. FHP says the marijuana was a direct result of a grow house operation.

Jackson was charged with trafficking in marijuana and taken to the Collier County Jail.
