Trichomes

I have grown two small crops in my grow room and am now growing a third. During my first two grows trichomes started growing during the flowering stage. However this time around my plants are developing trichomes during vegetative gowth. Is this normal? Has anyone else seen trichomes developing during vegetative growth? Thanks for your help.

Yeah I have had a couple plants really start to form trichs in veg. Its cool but man they stink early on lol.
