1 small sterilite container, old 5 gallon fish tank. I used the jars my medical marijuana comes in as pots. Got an old sprinkler head as an overflow with Small holes at the bottom so the water won't stand. No timer just plug in and let fill. Small river stone to grow in. Got some 20 14 13 orchid food to try out. May switch to fox farms when I get real seeds. I had a clone so I stuck it in to see what happens. Got a ph meter reading ph of 8 and in the green area. My tap water here is pretty good I have used it in a fish tank with little prep and it was fine, tends to be on the hard side. Still using the sun just filtered this time through a screen enclosure. Hoping everything will stay small scale not get too out of control.

Looks good SPRTHRV.
As Tim already pointed out a PH of 8 would be real bad. Good to see you got it down to 6. PH is very important to regulate and constantly monitor.
I read you have to change your water out every week or so. Once you do this and adjust PH does PH stay constant or are corrections needed during the week as the plants feed.

I wouldn't be the best person to ask since I grow in soilless mediums. But my understanding is that the PH will stay constant for the cycle of the feed schedule at least. I would expect to see a slight drift but not to the point of needing a correction between feedings.
