Prince George's County Sheriff Michael Jackson says an internal review has determined that deputies were justified when they shot and killed two dogs during a raid at the home of Berwyn Heights mayor Cheye Calvo.

Calvo, however, is not satisfied. He says the inquiry was incomplete. A Maryland Department of Agriculture veterinarian determined one dog was shot four times and the other twice, including once in the hind legs. Calvo says the findings are evidence that the officers weren't threatened and one dog was shot while fleeing.

Authorities raided Calvo's home July 29 after police intercepted a 32-pound package of marijuana addressed to Calvo's wife. Police later determined the couple were victims of a smuggling scheme in which drugs addressed to unsuspecting recipients were intercepted by a deliveryman.

Of course thats what they'll determine. Was there any doubt it would turn out any other way? I've seen in numerous times. The shootings are always justified.

Yup - no surprises here. Good luck to the mayor. Some folks should make some movies about this incident - make the squad look like a bunch of blood thirsty Rambos. Let's hope that this incident will snowball into something bigger. A backlash against the tyranny of America's oppressors.

I plan on visiting the police officers and shooting their dogs just because the dogs would of looked at me funny. It's justified...

maybe mayor c could be the person to file for rescheduling of the toxic inebrient alcohol as a schedule 1 controlled substance
just like the nontoxic inebriant MJ.....

Far more good will come from shining a journalistic light on the behavior of these police thugs.

No knock warrants are anathama to freedom and we need the general public to be aware of this brutal drug warrior behavior if we are to ever see it banned.

A better tactic for our side is to make sure all our freinds and neighbors hear about this story.

What's funny is the assumption that cops have ever been humanitarians. Sure, there are some. But they're just trained to do whatever the government tells them without question.

Has anyone even considered that it was under the "No knock" Warrant that the raid took place??
Remember??
The "No Knock warrant" was implimented in the patriot act to suppress terrorist's.
