Looking to save floor space and mounted my upright fan upside down from the ceiling of the tent. It works great but is it a possible fire hazard? One thought I had was wear on the oscillating motor.
Upside down fan: any foreseeable issues?

fan by itself is probably fine but recognize the oscillating feature was not designed for inverted use

I'll tell what helps the bolt that it swivels on will back out some even not upside down come loose take some locktite coat the snot out of it
The better fix is take apart and drill and pin through where the bolt threads in like the old chevys with a big cam and screw in rocker studs would always back out
Thats on the cheap fans I'm sure that one has same thing just got to find it

On mine (totally different fan) the arm used to actuate the oscillation wore out and off in a day.
May I ask why it's hanging in the first place? Lack of room?
