Using timers with high wattage

Is there a limit to how much lights you can have in a timer? I'm running 350-450 watts and I think there's limit on the timer? Should I just get 2 timers and can you plug whole electric strips in it?

Your timer should have an amp rating ,most of those pushpin style are 15 amps max, you don't want to exceed that it will fail
If you have a load larger or even within 80% of your timer I would look into a lighting contactor that is designed to handle the lager load

Careful, some of the cheaper models, like the kind you get at walmart for 10$ are not recommended. While they say they will work with a load of up to 15 amps, its a lie in the longterm. My two biggest concerns in the grow are that a light will fall or fail, and that I will burn through my timer. I use an old school analogue timer. She is loud but I cant count on it. Those lower quality ones should not live in your grow. They make great Christmas light timers, away on vacation light timers, all sorts of low power uses.
Please consider buying at least a mid range timer.
