Venting set up help

Hello all
I am building a room in my basement to house 2 tents I'm thinking of using metal vents above roof with an attachment on the roof to clip venting into. What size venting do I need for a 1k watt hid? I don't use one now and want to set up room just in case I want to switch in the future. Also running intake venting how big should it be? Room is 17x7 have a 5x5 tent and adding a 3x3. Any help would be great thanks in advance.

Are u talking venting a room with no venting at all currently?
How are u running from basement to roof?

That sounds like a fun project
All my vents are 6" in my tents. That should be plenty for your intake and exhaust if u vent your tent directly into them. If yer planning to fent the entire room u may want to go bigger, but 6" is still probably fine

Thanks I just picked up venting all walls are framed today we will put in venting and intake. will be only venting tent's not the room will be nice when it is all done finally a spot in the house that is all mine
