Virgin Grower needs reassurance

Hi all,
My first post here, im on my first grow. Vegges for 6 weeks for the big one ( critical from royal seeds) 5 weeks for the two smaller ones ( northern lights from royal seeds) and theres a smaller one in the back thats gotten stunned but started showing pre flowers so fingers crossed.

Im growing in a diy container.

Growing with cfls, ive 5 65w 2700k and 4 65w 6400k also two 23w 2700k one in between the plants and one up the top, im planning on getting more in the next few days ( dmall ones that is) and trying to squeeze them in doqn the bottom somewhere.

Grow are is 80x80cm shower and let me tell you its tight, big one is 3ft tall and smaller are 2ft tall.

Using advanced nutrient two part system, im on my 9th day of flower. Majority of pre flowers are getting bigger and such but some of them are sort of browning that you can see in the pics.

One of the plants is getting blackening on leaves which makes me a sad panda :-( you can see this in pics aswell.

Of course ive overfed them and what not but theyre still hanging in there.

Sooooo what shall I do about the concerns and should I even worry about it.

Re: Virgin needs reassurance :)

Hey there departed. First off good to see you are here and posting on 420mag. Now for all of what I seen in all your pic is all normal. The dead leafs are just part of old age and natural. The one advice I would give is clean as much as you can of any dead leafs off of the ground and around the plants. They can lead to bugs an cause mold in some case's. Other then that you are growing like a pro my friend. Keep it growing green and you will stay on the right path. Happy Growing

Re: Virgin needs reassurance :)

Hello there friend:)

Thanks for the kind word, actually surprised with the size of thebiush it has over 10 heads sticking upwards....a bulletproof strain aswell, very happy with it, hopefully ill get plenty of shmoke from it:)

I am indeed, ive a water change tomorrow and I want to pull it all out and give it a last proper clean.
Thanks again, took away a lot of stress:)

Re: Virgin needs reassurance :)

Hey departed awesome growth in there!

I see you are using lamp shades over some of your CFL's. May I ask why?

If you are using them as reflectors to aim light down then the inside of them needs to be reflective. I think you may be cutting down your total light by shading your CFL's. The ones whith white on the inside may work ok as a reflector but the others are just acting as shades.

Re: Virgin needs reassurance :)

Hi there Calyx Hunter, theyre all white inside, simply couldnt afford the parabolic reflectors at 20 euro for one so ive taken all the lamp shades from aroynd the hose and boom problem solved, I hope at least, it seems like there is more light on the plants since ive put them up, I haven't got a lumen meter to check but as I said it seems brighter than it was before, cheers mate.:)

Re: Virgin needs reassurance :)

Nice Departed, this will probably be a short post since your close to harvest. You should start a journal on your next grow!

Plants are looking good though. :goodjob:

Thanking You for a kind word:)

Re: Virgin needs reassurance :)

Update......

Had to whip the box out last night as one of the runts thats been stunned died on me, ive chopped the roots and theyre still alive so yeaaaayyyyyyy

Ive one problem tho......looks like mold on rockwool...anu suggestions?

Re: Virgin needs reassurance :)

Rockwool when expose to light will develop algae. You need to cover them so the light doesn't hit them.

Re: Virgin needs reassurance :)

Not sure then, I pretty much a novice on grows, we need some expert help here. Lets see if I can scrounge you up some.
