If I had a grow under my belt I'd also have the answer to this question, so I guess that makes this, by definition, a n00b question 
I'll be scrogging my three little girls and I'm trying to do my pruning and training accordingly. Problem is that I'm not really clear on what part of the plant will develop to become a bud site! Maybe it's obvious to others what'll become a bud but not to me.
Here's one of my plants --
It was taken a few days ago and the peristem (I think that's what it's called ... from the base of the fan leaf to the main stalk) has stretched out significantly. Will a bud site form just at the end of that branch where the fan leaves are? Anywhere else along the way? Everywhere there's a node? Where oh where will the good stuff grow?
Sorry if this is a painful n00b question, but everybody gets at least one, right? I'd super appreciate the responses with pics
