K here go its a lighting question for the most part with light its lumens that matter so the question is how many lumens are there in a 400w hps and how many cfl's would it take to match it been looking around and didn't see this question unless I mist it any answer appreciated please and thank u

average hps should be about 50000 lumens. A true 60w cfl will put out 4000 lumens. So to answer the question you would need alot of cfls haha. whats the math about 12.

Long story short.... 45,000 - 55,000 lumens hps 400 watts bulbs. Do some online shopping homework, comparing many bulb, ballast, price info. Check the Sponsor links on top of page. (Express lighting) All very good info. ps... 45,000 lumens is alot of Flos...?
