4 Strains 400W CFL Veg 1000W HPS Flower

Hey Cateros, Nice journal and lovely ladies :goodjob:

In regards to your funky mutated girl, how long has she been in that pot (when did you transplant)? I had a 2 plants do the same thing but I thought it was a ph and heat issue. You seem to have everything under control so now I'm thinking maybe I damaged the root system when I transplanted. I have a pic if you don't mind.

She was transplanted out of a 4" green pot to the 1gal pot about 14 days ago when she was transplanted she was only about 2" tall and only had cotyledon's and the next 2 sets of leaves on her when I removed her from the pot none of her roots were visible in the soil so dont think it is root damage. As for ph issues I dont have a soil tester of any kind of quality so rely on testing run off and so far I water with 6.3ph in and get 6.1-6.4 out .
For nutes been feeding her FloraNova Grow started at 2.5ml/gal and presently she shows no stress with a feeding of 6.75ml/Gal unlike a white widow I decided to try the same nutes on the widow was 12" tall and about 10" wide and 30 days old but received minor to mild nute burn .
Also the leaves on the plant have always seemed to have that tougher thicker look to them from day one only since the branching growth started has it appeared a bit more normal.

And sure go ahead throw up the pic would love to see any pics that are similar to my own plants especially if you have any finished pics of them as well .

Just wondering how many people are actually following this journal as I havent had many people making any comments so if there arent to amny people following may decide to hold off on updates for a few weeks until they are into flowering.

I never noticed it till today but when I looked at the pics here and the girls in the room they have probably grown about 1inch per day in height since these pics were taken as they are all now 2" over the top of the tub.

Planning on putting them all into 3 gal pots in the next day or so and then giving them another 4-5 days to stretch there legs a bit before I put them to flower and was wondering something will adding to there light cycle bother them at all during veg as far as I knew the reason that light bothers them during flower is that the flowering hormone builds up during dark hours and disruptions of any type during the 12 hour dark period causes imbalances resulting in herming , so while in veg it wont bother them if I dont wait for there light to come on at 5pm to start repotting them as I really dont cherish the idea of mixing up 3 cuf of promix with dolomite and lugging it down stairs and then potting plants all night long as I see this is gonna take me about 5+ hours minimum.

Well have all the plants in 3 gal pots watered them into there new home with a mix of just water and molasses ph'd to 6.5 I hope the extra molases will help to take care of a bit of yellow tip showing on some plants which I figure is either a calcium deficiency but as its not every plant I am leaning more towards a light nute burn. I have found that a few of my plants which I was running the lucas formula at full strength once a week and water inbetween weere doing awesome so decided to stop using flora nova grow I have found this seems to be creating some plants with a rather wider and more hollow stem unlike the plants which were receiving lucas from the beggining I will get some pics up in the next day or so as I plan to switch to flowering this weekend coming as I have also found a few preflowers with pistils already on a few plants so they have reached maturity and should produce about as potent of bud as they can.

Well after some serious inspection I have identified 6 plants that are all mature enough to show sex without the photoperiod change so I have decided to start 12/12 today switched the light and reset the timer so here are pics of transition day 1.

In this pic you can compare there size to the 1 gal water jug on the floor beside them.

notice the yellow tips! I burned em a little bit last feeding but it was only 4 of the white widows that showed it at all they are a bit more sensitive then there sisters it appears so dont think I want a cut from these will take them from the plants who could handle the higher ppm nutes.

Well there we go I think they may be a bit bigger then I had planned on but hoping a few males will pop up in the armageddon and super crystals too thin things out a bit.

But what do you all think there are enough plants here to produce wall to wall cola's as this is my goal I will lolipop the lower growth that is falling way behind in the next few weeks hoping to create basically a sog of colas!

Well spotted a male today when looking over some suspicious looking growth and under my 30x I found a little cluster of balls so killed him to make more space for the rest I did rip up the roots though to see how healthy it was looking and they are pretty nice for a plant that is about 32 days old.

Just updating without pics for now All the nute burn is pretty much gone and plants have been in 12/12 since Oct 6 so at 6pm tonight it will be the 5th day so far I have removed 2 plants that were either male or hermi I only say hermi because it had male parts and was supposed to be a feminized seed the male preflower was small but it looked almost like the female preflowers which are a pear shaped spear attached directly to the plant right in the internodes and what I removed were somewhat similar except they were much fatter towards the bottom and were raised upwards off the plant on a stalk one plant however had a few things growing up beside the male flower that could have been female flowers or possibly the begining of more male flowers.

Anyways took them out and trimmed my plants up a bit to get rid of the wispy undergrowth that will have no chance of finishing as well and fed them as it has been over 10 days since there last feeding, so they were given 8ml micro/16ml bloom 2.5ml kool bloom 10 ml floranectar sweetener and 2.5 ml prosiliscate ph'd to 6.5 and even after adding 3 tblsps of dolomite to the top of the soil on the last watering runoff is still 6.1-6.3 on every plant so I am not going to fight it anymore.

The only change in this feeding schedule as I am using the lucas formula for feeding will be an increase in liquid koolbloom to 5ml and then possibly 7.5ml by the 5th week of flower.

Will update with pics soon as I get my camera back my daughter needed it for taking pics while out for thanksgiving dinner this weekend.

Hey man just caught up!

Is this your first grow or your first journal?? if this is your first grow, Goddamn youre goin all out!! thats going to be a serious room of buds bro!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I had a whole bathroom to devote to the gals.......

Keep us posted as this bad boy fills up!

ps. sorry idk enough about plant problems to help you with the leaf thing :/

Well this is kinda my first grow I think of it as my first as I only grew plants once outdoors and got a lb of decent bud but nothing terrific but as I now have my medical card and licence to grow here in canada this is my first indoor grow I have done about 8 months of research on what I need to grow good bud and I have tried my best to give it to them.

So far I can say as far as a report on everything is going that my ph has held a steady 6.2 in runoff while watering with 6.5ph'd water or nutes. Temps have been no higher then 80degrees lights on and no colder then 68 when lights are off I have a 70pint/day dehumidifier in the room set for 40% humidity and it takes it all week to fill the bucket.
The only problems I have had are a very mild mag deficency early in veg that I corrected by adding more dolomite lime powder to my soil and allowing the mag from it to correct teh condition and I have over nuted them once when fed 2 feeding of full strength lucas formula in less then a 5 day period. When I put them to flower 6 days ago they were 13 inches tall and as off today they are now between 17-20" tall I have removed 2 herms and 1 male already and think I have another male to be removed but hopefully I will still have 16 of the 20 plants I have.

Well I have removed 3 more hermi's and 2 more males now so that makes a total of 4 hermis and 4 males which now leaves me with 9 females, 1 himalayan gold, 2super crystal,1 armageddon and 5 white widows that is if these are actually the strains they were sold as it turns out the guy who gave me originally told me they were from homegrown fantaseed but after i talked to him tonight about al the hermis in the feminized seeds the 4 males were from 8 regular seed 4 armageddon and 4 super scrystal but it turns out that my friend who gave me the seeds just didnt want to see me waste money on good genetic for my first grow which is gonna have the highest possibility of a failure so the seeds actually came from that cannabisseeds.com` so these seeds I grew were just cheap ass things so I have no clue now if this weed will be worth finishing but my friend claims that it has a decent potency but the yields are a little low for instance he says that my plants which have been vegged for 42 day will only yield 2-2.5oz per plant so I am hoping I will at least get a lb of decent bud this grow. My next grow will be from clones of a feminized trainwreck from ghs I am growing into a mother but from now on I will prolly running closer to 16 next time but all from clone which once rooted will be veged for 2 weeks under cfl's and then 2 weeks under mh.

This bathroom is actually 7'w x 9'L x 6'4" T I only use a space 5.5' x 5.5' or 30 square feet I need to work out the best use not sure If I would be better of doing 12 larger plants a bit smaller then my presnt plants which are now between 16-20" they were between 12-15 before I put them to 12/12 6 days ago and the largest one has grown about 4-5" in the past 6 days.

But what I am wondering is does anyone think I would bet higher yield if I was to get a bunch of clones started under cfls till they are 8-10" tall then transfer to 1gal pots and put them to flower I figure they should finish around 32 inches tall in this space I could put 25 of them but not sure if I would get a better yield form 25 2' plants or from 12 4'plants which I figure these should end up being by the time they are done. I just want to figure out the best use of my space and light.

Well been awhile since I could do a pic update but got my camera back well the shitty one anyways and here we go this is at 18 days of 12/12 I didnt do the 48 hour dark period or anything just switched to 12/12 the day I first detected preflowers on all my plants went from 17 to 10 because of males or hermis if the seed company i bought from really sent feminized seeds but thats another story. Here is what you all like to see baby bud porn.

This is a wierd little mutant bag seed I started turned out female but look how wierd it looks now thay it is blooming.Think it could have been an autoflower that I messed with by keeping it in 24/0 light cycle as it never got taller then 5" but just got very dense undergrowth.

Oh and was wondering how does bud development look for what I consider 12 days of flower as they took about 5-8 days to show any signs of stretch and flowering activity so I am considering oct 12 day 1 of flower.

Been really busy lately but will be updating this weeked the plants have been in flower for 24 days now but the strain is showing it is a very sativa dominant strain so I am now expecting this strain to be a 10-12 week strain I do have 2 phenos that appear to be developing a bit faster so hoping they will finish a bit earlier so I have bud for christmas.

UpDATE TODAY ....

DAY 28 of flower and stretch appears to be over finally so if the 40/60 phenomenon is correct I have another 42 days or close till they will be done, they started off at 13 inches and the largest is now 42 inches and the shortest is 32 inches I did have one smaller plant however which is an unknow cut from a plant I discovered while out with friends this summer we came across a lone plant and I decided to take a cut and see what I got and this is it at day 17 of flower and its stretch is finished so it looks like it will be a fast flower .

As you can imagine when seeing a plant look like this after 17 days of flower I am happy I happend across it and even more happy that I have 2 cuttings of it both veging away for my next grow.

Anyways now some pics of my Sativas At least that is what I am thinking they are considering the stretch lasted 28 days according to what I have found at cannastats.com is this means the strain is a 70 day flowering strain so with another 42 days to go abouts this is how they are looking.
