Another Drug War Victim

So sorry to take so long to answer you. Besides hunting, we had a Wildlife Hazing class for 3 days for SERVS/Alyeska (Ship Escort Response Vessel Systems) We participate in Oil Response drills once a year and this was an extra class to take. We earned a 40hr HAZWOPER Wildlife Specialist Level IV card. But it was fun and informative and We get PAID for it too! I hate being f'n broke all the time and scraping up every little job that comes our way just to make it by. Or have my friends stop at the store for me and buy things we need. I can't wait until this court bs is over.

As to your question....
Yes, you may only take one Moose per resident per year, during the season. Until we got our airboat, it was doing it the old fashioned way, packing it out one quarter at a time. There are alot of hunting and scenery pics so this is not a link for those who do not like to see dead animals, sorry. All the animals we take we use in one way or another and nothing goes to waste, so please dont bash on us for it.

Because the wolf population was so high in Alaska, that until recently there was a $150 bounty on them. Advocates stopped that. Prices went down a little but I believe they are stable unless there is a shortage or overabundance soon. Prices generally range from $350 - 650 depending on the size, color etc. and some may even be high as $800 for an exceptional one. The one we have in the photo weighed approx 110lbs but they come bigger than that. Some of the smaller hides can go for as little as around $2-300. It also depends on how you want it...tanned as a throw or garment tanned to make something or rugged for mounting on the wall etc.

We use the pelt as decoration, sell for subsistance income, or give as gifts to family, or make handcrafted items to sell. The meat and bones we use for baiting other carnivores/predators such as bears, wolverines, coyotes, & lynx. Sometimes it is left for groups of Eagles when necessary to help them survive particularly harsh winters. And sometimes we get the odd request for items of an animal from some of our local natives.

That is a major bummer that someone would steal your hide. They are not as easy to come by as one might think. It takes a lot of strategy to get a wolf as they are very crafty animals. In 2 years of actively hunting them MV has only gotten one so far. He saw a great many more of them, but you do have to be close enough to shoot without wounding them and them getting away from you. No one likes to think they left an animal out there somewhere to suffer. Although it does happen once in a while. I lost a beautiful white coyote a couple of years ago - knocked it down on the ice and as soon as MV got close it took off. He chased that coyote for hours and miles and followed the blood trail but never did find it. I was pretty bummed out as I only shot from about 50yds and I know it was a solid hit because it went straight down on the ice.

RM - Moose are big! LOL If you were sitting in a Chevy Suburban and one walked by you, their shoulder is about as high as your shoulder or head (about 6ft) and that doesnt include their head!

And "stuffed" is good but I like em tanned. They are much more versatile that way.

sound like if possible that all that girls statments as basis for the warrant that were false should be exposed in public court with a voice stress analyzer expert as grounds to dismiss warrant from false statements and that big 16 year old should be allowed to learn about adulthood by being tried for fasle testimony /perjury might undo the brainwashing

Hopefully it will be dismissed soon! And we have our proof that she was lying so we are just waiting for things to progress as fast as the justice system will move, which is pretty damn slow!

We are trying to deal with it the best we can and we keep on doing what we have always done - Stay out of Trouble. We follow their rules for now. When it is all said and done, things will go back to normal for us.

MV, that really sucks. And the really screwed up thing is that I know a couple of the judges in the Valley and they used to be HEAVY tokers, and probably still are now. That's bull about the handguns. The cops know what the Valley is like as well as anyone else. I'd be more suspicious of someone who didn't have at least ONE gun at home. Don't know how long you've been in AK, but if they are nailing you based on amount assuming 'distributor' status, remember the classic old case where the cops busted a guy saying there was too much weed for one persons' consumption and his simple defense in court
was 'fine - PROVE I don't have (x) number of people living there'. Case Closed. Hope this help and good luck to you.
 
any updates? Have they given you yopur Discovery yet? The law of the land likes to drag its feet trying to get more info or get you nervous and make a deal. I hope that it has been dismissed!
 
wow, that is rough. I can't believe your daughter is happy she landed you in jail and a heap of trouble cause she wanted to see some guy. I hope he she walks in on him having a threesome with her best friends.

But seriously she should be charged with providing false information to the police. I hope everything gets worked out soon for the two of you soon.
 
We do have an update now! Lawyers say we have enough to go to court with so we should be setting Trial the week of 4/20 and maybe we will be all done with this crap by the end of the month! YEEHAWW!!!!!! I cant wait.

im also going to court this month in a case that i was a victim of armed robbery, by a 15 year old. i had 7 dollars.
 
more things change the more they stay the same some famous fart in ancient greece or rome was quoted on how bad kids were ....

our local paper has an article on a playground assualt at a downtown elementary
school some 10 year old girl may need a hip replacement after being attacked
by a 10 and 11 year old girl and having her head and legs repeatedly stomped upon i hope that if it comes out that those kids got the idea from
a violent video or game that the victims family sues the f**k out of the artist or company.....

good luck on legal shit if shit gets dropped because of false statements
i really hope the lying kid gets the same treatment by the law that you got would be one hell of a lesson in due process and karma for her .....
 
Study released 3 days ago confiomed that people that play action packed video games are less violent then people who don't. They get all that frustration out in the game, and feel very calm and relaxed after playing.

Of course I didn't need this comprehensive study to figure that one out, me and my son have been doing this for years :):peace:

If the parents raised children with such behavior, why would they be allowed to sue anyone. We should be suing the parents for creating such monsters. I don't care how the kids got that way, I blame the parents.
